Services for People with Disabilities (SFPD) presents a free Community Education Workshop.Service Dogs are long standing tools for independence. There are many ways service dogs can be trained to help people with disabilities be more independent. From Guide Dogs to Diabetic Alert Dogs, Autism Service Dogs to Mobility Service Dogs, each dog is individually trained to support an individuals’ independence and ability to engage and access the world around them.

It's not a club anyone wants to be a part of, but if you are a person in their 20s or 30s who has lost a parent, sibling, or partner, sometimes it's good to be with people who get it. Co-sponsored by Mishkan Chicago, Silverstein Base Chicago, and JCFS Chicago, this group meets monthly to share memories of our loved ones and discuss our experiences of grief in a supportive space.

This fun and engaging summer class for children ages 5–7 years will target fine motor strength, hand coordination, visual motor integration, and dexterity skills through play-based sensory-motor activities, crafts, games, and obstacle courses. Activities are designed by our occupational therapist to support the foundational skills needed for improved handwriting, classroom participation, self-care independence, and overall confidence with school-related tasks. This 6-week class is offered at our clinic in Northbrook.
