This supportive workshop is for parents and caregivers of adults facing mental health challenges, systemic gaps, and the criminalization of mental illness. It offers a safe space to share experiences, build community, and explore practical strategies.

This is a daytime grief support group for adults 60+ who have experienced the death of a loved one within the past two years. The group will provide a safe and supportive space to share, reflect, and connect with others who are grieving.

IPT’s Back-to-School Boosters

IPT’s Back-to-School Boosters is a dynamic, therapist-led half-day camp running August 4–8, designed for children ages 7–12 to reconnect mind and body before the school year begins.

Each morning from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, campers engage in occupational and speech-language therapist-developed sessions that build sensory and emotional awareness, literacy skills, and social development. Activities include interoception exercises like mindfulness and yoga, an engaging literacy group featuring creative and expressive reading and writing, and a playful social skills block packed with games that promote teamwork, self-regulation, and communication.

Optional lunch from 12:30–1:00 PM (for an additional fee) gives campers a chance to practice conversation and social routines in a supportive environment. With a focus on growth, self-awareness, and fun, this intensive program offers a meaningful jumpstart to the school year.

The week costs $875 for camp and $125 for the additional lunch period.

Understanding the Role of a Legal Guardian Part 2

Join speaker Barry Lowy, the Director of The Office of State Guardian with the Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission, as we discuss ethical considerations guiding guardian decision making. We will learn about decision making standard imposed on guardians, as well as the rights retained by the individual.

The Club - Group for Teens

Join peers at "The Club House" for this fun summer social speech-language group.

We will work together to complete puzzles, games, cooking, sports, and art. Specific activities may include- games: Pirate Pop Up, Trouble, Kerplunk; art- painting, stickers, glitter; sports- football toss.

This therapeutic group is aimed for teens ages 15-19 with intellectual disabilities and is billable to insurance (inquire about private pay). This group will run as a dyad or small peer group on Thursdays from June 19 - August 7. Pre-registration required.
