IPT’s Social Superheroes group is led by a Speech-Language Pathologist and focuses on social skills with an emphasis on pragmatic language. Specific skills that will be targeted include, conversation skills, turn taking, asking questions, interpreting body language and additional skills that support a child in a social setting. It's not a club anyone wants to be a part of, but if you are a person in their 20s or 30s who has lost a parent, sibling, or partner, sometimes it's good to be with people who get it. Co-sponsored by Mishkan Chicago, Base Chicago, and JCFS Chicago, this group meets monthly to share memories of our loved ones and discuss our experiences of grief in a supportive space.
