Looking for a fun way to learn social awareness, communication skills, and self-regulation? The Social Superhero Training Academy is open! In this speech-language pathologist-lead group, children will learn strategies to be flexible-thinking superheroes. Practice these new social superhero powers by reading stories, playing games, making crafts, and more! This 8-week group will be offered in-person at our clinic!

Please join us for a virtual monthly grief support group for adults who have experienced the death of a loved one within the past two years. The group meets on the 4th Monday of each month from 7:30 - 9:00 pm and is co-sponsored by Anshe Emet Synagogue, Anshe Sholom B’nai Israel, Emanuel Congregation, Mishkan Chicago and Temple Sholom of Chicago. Service Dogs are long standing tools for independence. The many ways they can be trained to help overcome limitations caused by a variety of disabilities helps the individual to be more independent and active. Guide Dogs to Diabetic Alert Dogs, Autism Service Dogs to Mobility Service Dogs, each dog is individually trained to help an individual be more independent, engaged and access the world around them.

JCFS is a proud cosponsor of The Hinda Institute's program, Decriminalizing Mental Health: Let's Break the Cycle, saluting our colleague and partner Marna Goldwin, CEO of The Ark. The program will include a theatrical rendition "Out of the Box" the Dorothea Dix story today, by the Broken Shoulders Project.
