Looking for a fun way to learn social awareness, communication skills, and self-regulation? The Social Superhero Training Academy is open! In this speech-language pathologist-lead group, children will learn strategies to be flexible-thinking superheroes. Practice these new social superhero powers by reading stories, playing games, making crafts, and more! This 8-week group will be offered in-person at our clinic!

This drop-in grief support group is for older adults who have experienced the death of a spouse or partner within the last two years. The group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, 10:30am -12:00 pm. Supported by the Lauri S. Bauer Foundation for Sudden Loss. This evening of support will include music and poems for healing, reflections on the grieving process and a personal grief journey illuminating paths to healing. This program is geared towards those grieving a death in the past two years, although all are welcome.

Upon completion of our structured program at approximately 8pm, participants will be invited to stay online to share personal reflections and experiences in smaller groups.

Preparation is key! It may be virtual, in-person, with a group or over numerous follow-up sessions, but interviewing comes with the job search. Learn and practice how to interview in any setting to secure your next job! Interview workshops convene June 19, July 17, August 9 and September 14, 2023.

It's not a club anyone wants to be a part of, but if you are a person in their 20s or 30s who has lost a parent, sibling, or partner, sometimes it's good to be with people who get it.

Co-sponsored by Mishkan Chicago, Base Hillel, and JCFS, this group meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month to share memories of our loved ones and discuss our experiences of grief in a supportive space.

This seminar, led by Lisa Haber, will be a deeper dive into clinical modalities to treat complex and neurodevelopmental trauma.  Participants will receive an overview of treatment modalities with in-depth training in modalities including DBT PE, Collaborative Stage Model, IFS and Body based therapies. Sessions will focus mainly on interventions, however will provide some basis for presentation of symptoms and diagnostic criteria.
