Professional & Community Training

 9am – 12:15pm

Professional & Community Training

Sexually exploiting and selling children – it sounds awful and it goes on around us every day. How can professionals who interact with youth recognize the signs and intervene appropriately?

This training will explore the realities of child sexual exploitation and trafficking and its root causes. We will explore scenarios to help professionals who work with youth identify victims and outline steps for taking action.

Children & Adolescents

9-10:30am

Children & Adolescents

This group, for children 2-3 years of age, will focus on participating in circle time and engaging in play-time activities that promote communication, early problem solving and following directions. This group is playful and fun, often focusing on a particular theme to enhance vocabulary development and to increase a child’s opportunity to use language within a group setting. Children can practice the social rules of communication such as turn-taking, gestures and body language. Led by Speech-Language Pathologist Allison Liwanag.
