A Circle of Connection: Honoring Our Most Dedicated Partners
JCFS Chicago has launched two new giving societies — the Hineni Leadership Circle and the 1859 Legacy Society — created to honor the generosity of our closest partners.
The Hineni Leadership Circle recognizes those whose deep commitment and compassion make the work of JCFS possible. This distinction acknowledges donors who make annual gifts of $10,000 or more or whose lifetime giving exceeds $100,000, as well as Honorary Directors and those who have served on the Board for more than 12 years. Hineni, which means 'Here I am' in Hebrew, is a powerful Jewish concept that reflects how this group has continually answered the call to step forward and help JCFS and our community.
Our 1859 Legacy Society honors individuals who have made a lasting commitment to the future of JCFS through planned giving or special gifts to our Endowment or Capital Campaigns. The name celebrates the year JCFS was founded and the generations of donors who have carried us forward, underscoring the vital role legacy gifts play in sustaining our mission for the future.

As a member of one or both societies, you will be part of a special circle of connection and appreciation, with opportunities to engage more personally with our mission and with one another. Some of what’s ahead includes:
- The Conversations with the CEO Series features intimate discussions with behind-the-scenes insights into our programs and vision.
- An Annual Recognition Event celebrating your generosity and the impact we’re creating together.
- Special opportunities throughout the year to connect directly with JCFS leadership in our various programs.
The Hineni Leadership Circle and the 1859 Legacy Society are more than just recognition programs — they are communities where we celebrate what we’ve accomplished together and imagine what’s next.
