Founded in 1919, the North Shore Auxiliary has served to support the comprehensive spectrum of services provided by JCFS Chicago.
JCFS Chicago's pioneering programs are designed to enable individuals, children, and families to grow and develop positively throughout their lives. The North Shore Auxiliary is proud to devote itself to supporting JCFS Chicago.
Through multiple events each year, the dedicated volunteer members of the North Shore Auxiliary take pride in funding programs that improve the lives of challenged young people and their families. These many programs include a therapeutic day school & yeshiva for children with learning, behavioral and emotional difficulties; respite care; staff development; as well as a wide range of other support services. Special opportunities made possible only with support from the North Shore Auxiliary include special incentive lunches, a Passover Seder and Take Five respite weekends. These events allow so many children to thrive in ways they otherwise could not.
Our members partake in hands-on opportunities that make a difference in the lives of children in need throughout Chicagoland.
Additionally, members commit to the following:
- Attend monthly meetings. Primarily held the first Tuesday of each month from 11-1.
Members rotate hosting in a local restaurant, country club or home. - Pay annual dues of $50
- Attend and invite guests to the December Top Golf Event
- Actively participate on working committees for Key Card Shopping Spree Events
- Volunteer at auxiliary sponsored events
