HIAS Immigration & Citizenship

In the next few months, HIAS Immigration & Citizenship is expecting an influx of refugees from Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burma and other parts of the world, to resettle in Chicago. To ensure that each family’s needs are met, we are looking for volunteers to provide critical support to our newcomers.

Join our virtual information session to learn more about refugee resettlement and how you can form a volunteer team to help welcome refugee families.

People with Disabilities & Their Families

Sibshops offer brothers and sisters of children with a variety of special needs a place to meet other siblings in a relaxed, supportive, and recreational setting. They discuss their common joys and concerns, learn to handle sibling-specific “sticky situations” and have fun! For kids ages 6-12 years old.

FALL 2022 Sibshops

JCFS Chicago will be offering both virtual and in-person Sibshops this spring.  In-person Sibshops will have a limited number of spots and masking is required.  We will use outdoor spaces as weather permits.
