Every addiction recovery journey is unique…while also sharing common experiences and concerns. The Senior Sobriety Support Group is a compassionate, confidential time to talk about the uniqueness as well as the commonality of being a Jewish older adult in recovery. In addition, we will read and discuss materials by Jewish recovery thought leaders, such as Rabbi Dr. Abraham Twerski, Harriet Rosetto, Rabbi Mark Borovitz, and Rabbi Paul Steinberg.

Eating disorders are serious and complicated to assess, diagnose and treat. Therapists need training to identify the signs and symptoms of eating disorders. In this session, you'll learn how to understand the range of issues that present as an eating disorder and how to identify and treat them. You'll gain an understanding of the spectrum from how disordered eating to serious eating disorders can be treated with a team approach and how your own relationship with food and personal body image may impact diagnosis and treatment.
