We’re back in the clinic!

Join us for our 2 - to 3 - year-old play group, designed to develop communication, language, and social skills. Waiting, turn-taking, following directions, and transitions are incorporated into preschool activities, like circle time, art, and pretend play. Our Speech-Language Pathologist will incorporate monthly themes to enhance vocabulary development, knowledge of early basic concepts, and pre-literacy skills.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a third-wave behavioral psychotherapy that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, psychosis and chronic pain.  ACT integrates mindfulness skills with values-guided living. It helps clients develop a compassionate relationship to painful thoughts and feelings versus attempting to avoid or control them.  This shift allows clients to focus instead on clarifying personal values and using that knowledge to take action that promotes a rich, meaningful life.

Looking for a fun way to learn social awareness, communication skills, and self-regulation? The Social Superhero Training Academy is open! In this speech-language pathologist-lead group, children will use Social Thinking Curriculum to learn to be flexible-thinking superheroes. They will learn to defeat cartoon characters who embody different social challenges such as Rock Brain, who makes people get stuck on their own ideas, Body Snatcher, who moves people’s bodies away from the group, and Topic Twistermeister, who makes people jump off topic.
