The Get Together provides an opportunity for parents to meet with other parents with young children. Parents share ideas and concerns with each other and professional staff while their children play and explore together.  This group meets weekly on Mondays, and is led by a JCFS Chicago child development professional. The Get Together will not meet on the following Mondays: 12/23/19; 12/30/19; 1/20/2020; 4/13/20; 5/25/20.

Please inquire about fees, registration, and group guidelines.

Join us for an hour of food exploration in two sets of different groups every Tuesday or Thursday. We’ll have a great time prepping, cooking and exploring foods to make food time a fun time. We welcome all children who are working on oral-motor skills, sensory aversions or medically complex feeding needs including decreasing feeding tube dependency.

The Food Adventurers will be led by a Speech-Language Pathologist with consultation from Occupational Therapists and Psychologists. All ages welcome.

This seminar will provide participants with a basic, yet practical understanding of cognitive and behavioral principles and models that inform CBT treatment. CBT case conceptualizations will be highlighted, along with CBT key features including session structure and agenda setting, guided discovery, cognitive restructuring, behavioral experiments, and exposure treatment. Work with clients who have anxiety and depressive disorders will be used to promote integration of CBT treatment tools and strategies.
