People with Disabilities & Their Families

Virtual Sibshops offer brothers and sisters of children with a variety of special needs a place to meet other siblings in a relaxed, supportive, and recreational setting. They discuss their common joys and concerns, learn to handle sibling-specific “sticky situations” and have fun! For kids ages 6-12 years old. Teens are also welcome. Contact us for more information.

It is necessary for those of us who provide social and human services to understand ourselves and the contexts in which we exist. This understanding of self must include our racialized identities. This highly interactive session is for white-identified providers who want to engage in an exploration of whiteness and their own identities as white people, particularly as providers in predominantly white communities. This session will include an exploration of how ethical principles can help decision-making related to issues of race and bias.
