Join us for an hour of food exploration in two sets of different groups every Tuesday or Thursday. We’ll have a great time prepping, cooking and exploring foods to make food time a fun time. We welcome all children who are working on oral-motor skills, sensory aversions or medically complex feeding needs including decreasing feeding tube dependency.

The Food Adventurers will be led by a Speech-Language Pathologist with consultation from Occupational Therapists and Psychologists. All ages welcome.

Our therapy groups help kids understand and manage their emotions, while learning to interact with others in order to build healthy relationships with peers and adults.

  • Address anxiety in social situations
  • Teach skills for conflict resolution
  • Provide a supportive environment to talk through feelings
  • Practice flexibility in group settings
  • Increase understanding of other’s perspective

JCFS Response for Teens, No Shame on U and MISSD host the Chicago premiere of the Israeli film, "The Day After I'm Gone," as part of the Chicago Festival of Israeli Cinema. A post-film interactive discussion will focus on teen suicide.

This group will focus on the issues facing younger spouses grieving the death of a spouse or partner in the last two years, including taking on new roles, self-care, coping skills, parenting and getting support.This group is co-sponsored by the Lauri S. Bauer Foundation for Sudden Loss and JCFS Chicago.

Hand in Hand is free. Childcare is available upon request. Dinner is provided before the group at 6:30 pm. Contact MarshaRaynes to register.
