It is estimated that 19% of the general population is affected by an anxiety disorder in their lifetime, yet the estimates for individuals with I/DD is exponentially higher. Through a robust discussion of anxiety and I/DD in adults, this workshop is designed to assist the clinician in the identification of anxiety, evaluation of available interventions, and the review of practical strategies for addressing anxiety symptoms.
