Our Services

Our counselors, prevention educators and medical personnel provide an invaluable range of services for tweens, teens, and families in a safe, compassionate environment.

Prevention & Education

Our Prevention team travels far and wide to middle schools, high schools, camps, synagogues and community centers. They provide interactive, experiential programming on a wide range of topics relevant to youth and those working with them, including:

  • Leadership development training

  • Substance abuse prevention

  • Comprehensive sex education

  • Violence prevention

  • Healthy relationships

  • Dating violence prevention

  • Self-esteem and body image issues

  • Team building

  • Cyberbullying and bullying prevention

  • Social media education and awareness

  • Diversity training

  • LGBTQ awareness

Our programs are tailored to meet the needs of the organization or school requesting service. And as trends shift and new topics and issues emerge, our staff engages in the creation of appropriate, responsive programming.

The Center for Sexual Health

Response’s Center for Sexual Health provides sexual health counseling and services sensitive to teen concerns, including:

  • Comprehensive sex education

  • Prevention of unintended pregnancy

  • Sexually transmitted infections (STI’s)

Here, youth are able to meet confidentially with a caring medical provider and counselor who understand the complex intersection of adolescence and emotional, spiritual and physical health.  To learn more about the Center for Sexual Health, contact Marnie Spiegel, Coordinator or send an email to clinic@jcfs.org.

Counseling

Master’s-level therapists with expertise in adolescent development issues provide individual, family and group counseling around a range of adolescent and family concerns, including (but not limited to):

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Parent-teen communication

  • Academic concerns

  • Relationship issues

  • Divorce

Leadership Development

Response Center offers programs and special events to help develop the skills and confidence needed to be a great peer leader.
