Understanding the Intersection of Sexual Violence and Disability: Resources for Support, Advocacy and Becoming Trauma and Disability Informed

Join speakers Tara Ahern, Project Director, and Adam Wiser, Self-Advocate, from the Illinois Self Advocacy Alliance to learn more about how disability and sexual violence intersect. This workshop will provide helpful information on how to be a better advocate for yourself and for others; gain a better understanding in recognizing risks and how to respond to disclosures; and increase our ability to respond to situations in a disability and trauma informed way.  An opportunity to ask questions and additional resources will be provided.

This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Continuing education credits are available for QIDP's.
