Jaclyn Skalnik, LCSW, is the founder, trainer, and Clinical Director of Adoption Wellness, LLC. As a trauma-informed and adoption competent clinical social worker for two decades, Jaclyn presents at national adoption conferences, and trains school, medical and legal professionals to become adoption sensitive. As a transracially adopted person, she provides a comprehensive perspective on the complexities of adoption and consults with families across the globe to address attachment, grief & loss, identity & transracial adoption, and developmental trauma.
Amy Wilkerson, LCSW is the founder of Copihue Counseling, and a grief, loss, and trauma therapist. Adopted from Santiago, Chile and raised in the Midwest by a Jewish family, Amy brings her unique perspective to supporting adoptees and their families. Her passion is working with individuals as they overcome trauma, anxiety, and depression. In addition, Amy provides training and consultation services to adoption professionals, and has authored a children’s book, Being Adopted.
