Medication Knowledge Is Power

The Illinois Coalition on Substance Use and Aging (ICSUA) invites older adults and their family members to attend a free community education program to encourage the proper use of medication. Several pharmacists will be available for private consultations which will require pre-registration and a complete personal medication list. Social workers will also be available in the room to provide individual consultations using the CJE SeniorLife developed Medication Use Questionnaire and review the “Strategies for Managing Your Medications” booklet.

There will be a one hour presentation from 2 to 3 pm by Nina Henry, LCPC, CADC, JCFS Chicago, “Empower: Helping Older Adults Use Medication Safely” as well as a presentation by Pharmacist Tran H. Tran about Naloxone.”
