Junior Baker

This group was developed to help your child participate in a fun family activity and develop a lifelong skill, baking! Similar to our “I Can Cook” group, each week a new recipe will be featured while focusing on hand strength and dexterity needed to open containers, using utensils, mixing, pouring, etc. These skills also enhance academic and self-care skills.

Your child will also work on the ability to follow a sequence of steps and increase attention for a multi-step activity while using a recipe and during a clean-up routine. Finally, your child will have the opportunity to virtually interact with others in the group or with a family member or friend in their home, which promotes positive social skills and interactions.

Recommended for children 6 years or older. Contact Megan Kowalski for registration and fee information at 847.412.4335.
