Grief After Sudden Loss: Finding Hope and Healing

JCFS Chicago and the Lauri S. Bauer Foundation for Sudden Loss present:
The 7th Annual Conference on Help, Healing and Hope After Loss

The sudden, sometimes traumatic death of a loved one can be life-changing for those left behind. Survivors may feel regret, guilt and anger over their loss, and oftentimes struggle with complicated grief. The presentation will address common reactions to sudden loss and offer coping strategies.

This program is open to all and especially for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one to a sudden, unexpected death, but can also be valuable for someone who is supporting a grieving person.
This event is free of charge.

Dessert reception 7pm (Kosher dietary laws observed)
Program 7:30pm, followed by Q&A with the audience

About the speaker:
John R. Jordan, PhD
Dr. Jordan is a licensed psychologist who specializes in grief counseling for sudden loss survivors. For over 45 years, Dr. Jordan has provided training for professional caregivers world-wide and helped lead numerous healing workshops for suicide loss survivors. He also serves as a clinical consultant, suicide task force co-chair, and is an accomplished author in the areas of grief therapy, bereavement, and family loss.
