Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Seminar

ACT Training: Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Integrates mindfulness skills with values-guided living, helping clients develop a compassionate relationship to painful thoughts and feelings versus attempting to avoid or control them. Through developing a compassionate relationship to thoughts and feelings, this shift allows clients to focus instead on clarifying personal values and using that knowledge to take action that promotes a rich, meaningful life. In this seminar, we will be reviewing ACT Made Simple by Russ Harris and incorporating experiential exercises, role play and case presentation to learn the tools of this treatment model.

Instructors: Patience Dennison, LCSW and Edie Sue Sutker, LCSW

JCFS ACT Training: $210 for 10.5 CEUs - attendance at all 7 sessions is required to receive CEUs.
