Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT has been shown to be effective in the treatment of a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, psychosis and chronic pain. It helps clients develop a compassionate relationship to painful thoughts and feelings versus attempting to avoid or control them. This single-session seminar will incorporate clinical readings, experiential exercises, role play and case presentation to learn the tools of this treatment model. This event costs $50 to attend.
