It's not a club anyone wants to be a part of, but if you are a person in their 20s or 30s who has lost a parent, sibling, or partner, sometimes it's good to be with people who get it. Co-sponsored by Mishkan Chicago, Base Chicago, and JCFS Chicago, this group meets monthly to share memories of our loved ones and discuss our experiences of grief in a supportive space. This fun and engaging summer class for children ages 5–7 years will target fine motor strength, hand coordination, visual motor integration, and dexterity skills through play-based sensory-motor activities, crafts, games, and obstacle courses. Activities are designed by our occupational therapist to support the foundational skills needed for improved handwriting, classroom participation, self-care independence, and overall confidence with school-related tasks. This 6-week class is offered at our clinic in Northbrook.
