Jason's Story

Every child's potential to learn is nurtured.

For Jason, third grade was off to a rocky start. His mother thought it was because his best friend was assigned to a different homeroom, but his teacher suspected differently. He wasn’t participating in class, his grades were slipping and he was at times disruptive in class.

Jason’s school referred his parents to JCFS Chicago for psychological testing. The clinical psychologist diagnosed Jason with a learning disability. In a follow-up meeting with the school, the JCFS Chicago psychologist provided a comprehensive psychological report, including detailed  recommendations, so that Jason’s teachers would know how to work with him. Now Jason is thriving in school. He is involved in class and enjoys learning again. Best of all, his parents know how to help him learn too.
