Living with Loss: Healing with Hope - Renewal of Spirit Conference

Rabbi Grollman captivates audience with his knowledge and compassion on loss and mourning

The podcast of the community conference Renewal of Spirit: Living with Loss, Healing with Hope on April 18, 2010 featuring Rabbi Dr. Earl Grollman can be accessed by clicking here.  Our thanks to Chicago Jewish Funerals, without whose co-sponsorship this program would not have been possible.

If you are ill, bereaved, or caring for a loved one …

Or if you work with people facing life’s most difficult transitions and want to better support them…

Jewish Healing Network of Chicago offers the comfort of human connection, the spiritual support of Jewish Tradition and a sense of community that is so important. We recognize that there are multiple components of health: the body, the mind and the spirit. Our services and programs have been developed so that we can provide support and assistance to members of the Jewish community when they need it most.

Our staff provides information about social services as well as medical and spiritual resources for people facing issues of illness and loss in the Chicago Jewish Community. Utilizing the richness of Torah texts, along with Jewish ritual and liturgy to help people in their times of difficulty, JHNC also refers community members to existing services and creates new services where needed.

Jewish Healing Network of Chicago is a joint project of Jewish Child & Family Services, CJE SeniorLife, Chicago Board of Rabbis and Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago. We appreciate funding support from Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation, Jewish Federation – Fund for Innovation in Health (funded by the Michael Reese Health Trust), a private foundation that wishes to remain anonymous and individual donations.
