How We Help

When Chicago-area families need help, Jewish Child & Family Services (JCFS) is ready to provide caring and healing services to guide them from crisis to calm, from anguish to awareness, and from isolation to support. With services that are infused with Jewish values and compassion, JCFS works to strengthen lives throughout our community.

You are not alone in your struggle when you receive help from JCFS.  Our team of highly skilled staff members is thoughtful in developing individualized care for children, teens, adults, older adults and families. More than 26,000 people turn to JCFS each year for help with autism, support with advanced illness, special education, individual and family counseling and more. We invite your engagement with us, too, when and if you should ever need a helping hand.

Who We Help

The services and programs of JCFS are as diverse as the people who benefit from them. Our programs include: care for abused and neglected youth; therapy for children and adults; support for people with disabilities and their families; respite care; special education; general counseling and more. From inclusive summer camps for children with disabilities, to grief counseling for adults, to support for families adopting children, there are a number of ways that JCFS can help families.

Our talented and diverse workforce helps children and their families regardless of religion, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ability, gender, sex or sexual orientation.
