HOW EMPLOYERS CAN DIRECTLY REDUCE UNEMPLOYMENT COSTS

For 2017, the Illinois Employer Contribution Rates are as high as 7.350%.  Maximum cost per Employee who earns $12,960.00 at 7.350% is $952.56.

Employer A rate was reduced from 4.550% to 1.650%, a savings of $336.96 per Employee who earns $12,960.00 in calendar year 2017.

Employer B rate was reduced from 5.950% to 3.75%, a savings of $285.12 per employee who earns $12,960.00 in calendar year 2017.

This presentation will cover: How employers can reduce their annual unemployment contribution rates, how the employer becomes chargeable, how to discharge an employee and deny benefits, what to do when the employee resigns, and how to verify and protest the BEN118 and BEN118R .
