Back-to-School Supply Drive

Do you remember the excitement of opening that new box of crayons on the first day of school? Recall the thrill of sporting that new backpack? For too many of the children served by Jewish Child & Family Services, these simple pleasures will be out of reach without your help.

For many needy families, the expense of preparing a child for the new school year is simply beyond their means. These families struggle to pay rent and keep food on the table. It’s not that these caring parents don’t value education – like you, they want to see their children enter the new school year prepared and proud.

By donating school supplies or hosting a drive, you can make a difference. A simple collection, which would make an ideal Mitzvah project for entire congregations, individuals and summer camps alike, can make all the difference to a needy child. We are collecting the new supplies listed below for JCFS’ clients in need ages Pre-K through High School through Thursday, August 3rd.

  • Crayons
  • Erasers
  • Folders
  • Glue Sticks
