The Supported Community Living Initiative for people with disabilities explores a sustainable, community integrated future for people with developmental/intellectual disabilities. SCLI is administered by Jewish Child & Family Services, a partner in serving our community, supported by the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation.
The SCLI uses person-centered planning, to provide and/or facilitate a full array of financially sustainable Jewish community-based, best practices services and supports for adults across the spectrum of intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) and across all socio-economic levels and religious levels of observance.

Have You Received A Funding Letter?
Have you received a funding letter for DHS? Wondering what to do next? JCFS is here to help!
We are connecting families with CILA funding to each other; collaborating in designing long-term supports and services that help adults with developmental disabilities reach their dreams. Along with Supported Community Living Initiative, new small living arrangements are being developed in West Rogers Park, Skokie and Highland Park. New families are encouraged and welcome to join us!
JCFS is also a Service Facilitation agency for Home Based Waiver and can guide you through the process of designing services to meet your or your loved ones needs. JCFS Direct Support staff are available, or you may hire your own workers. Contact us today!
If you were approved to apply for the Home Based Waiver
JCFS Service Facilitators will assist you with the process.
If you were invited to apply for CILA funding
